• Check the card's issuer, currency, value, expiry terms and redemption rules.
• Keep the card code private until you are ready to redeem or submit it through an authorized process.
• Confirm the merchant or platform accepts that card before purchasing.
• Keep receipts and proof of purchase.

Gift card exchange education

Before using an exchange service, understand the card type, value, applicable rate or fee, required proof and submission process. Never share a gift-card code with an unknown person promising payment outside the stated process.
